कोउ सर्बग्य धर्मरत कोई। सब पर पितहि प्रीति सम होई॥ कोउ पितु भगत बचन मन कर्मा। सपनेहुँ जान न दूसर धर्मा॥ २ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
kou sarbagya dharmarata koī। saba para pitahi prīti sama hoī॥ kou pitu bhagata bacana mana karmā। sapanēhuṃ jāna na dūsara dharmā॥ 2 ॥
Meaning
Some are omniscient, others devoted to righteousness. A father’s affection is equal toward all of them. But among them, whoever is devoted to the father alone in thought, word, and deed, and does not even dream of any other duty or allegiance, is especially dear.
