रे कपि अधम मरन अब चहसी। छोटे बदन बात बड़ि कहसी॥ कटु जल्पसि जड़ कपि बल जाकें। बल प्रताप बुधि तेज न ताकें॥ ४ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

re kapi adham marana aba cahasī। choṭe badana bāta baṛi kahasī॥ kaṭu jalpasi jaḍa kapi bala jākeṃ। bala pratāpa budhi teja na tākeṃ॥ 4 ॥

Meaning

O vile monkey, you now seem to desire death. With such a small face, you speak such big words. O foolish monkey, the one whose strength you rely on has no strength, glory, intelligence, or radiance.
