भागे भालु बलीमुख जूथा। बृकु बिलोकि जिमि मेष बरूथा॥ चले भागि कपि भालु भवानी। बिकल पुकारत आरत बानी॥ १ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

bhāge bhālu balīmukha jūthā। bṛku biloki jimi meṣa barūthā॥ cale bhāgi kapi bhālu bhavānī। bikal pukārata ārata bānī॥ 1 ॥

Meaning

Seeing this, the bands of bears and monkeys fled like a flock of sheep before a wolf. [Shiva says:] O Bhavani, the monkeys and bears ran away, crying out in distress with lamenting voices.
