बाजहिं ताल मृदंग अनूपा। सोइ रव मधुर सुनहु सुरभूपा॥ प्रभु मुसुकान समुझि अभिमाना। चाप चढ़ाइ बान संधाना॥ ४ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
bājahiṃ tāla mṛdaṃga anūpā। soi rava madhura sunahu surabhūpā॥ prabhu musukāna samujhi abhimānā। cāpa chaṛhāi bāna saṃdhānā॥ 4 ॥
Meaning
O lord of the gods, listen: the unmatched beat of cymbals and drums is sounding. That is the same sweet [thunder-like] sound. Understanding Ravana's pride, the Lord smiled. He raised His bow and fitted the arrow to it.
Context
This is Chaupai 4, Under Doha 13 from Lanka Kand, in the episode “Rama's Arrow Fells Ravana's Crown”. The episode describes Rama's arrow striking down Ravana's crown and parasol, wounding his pride.
