बरषहिं जलद भूमि निअराएँ। जथा नवहिं बुध बिद्या पाएँ॥ बूँद अघात सहहिं गिरि कैसें। खल के बचन संत सह जैसें॥ २ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
baraṣahiṃ jalada bhūmi niarāeṃ। jathā navahiṃ budha bidyā pāeṃ॥ būṃda aghāta sahahiṃ giri kaisẽ। khala ke bacana santa saha jaisẽ॥ 2 ॥
Meaning
The clouds descend close to the earth and pour down their rain, as the wise become humble after gaining learning. Just as mountains bear the impact of falling drops, saints bear the words of the wicked.
