लछिमन दीख उमाकृत बेषा। चकित भए भ्रम हृदयँ बिसेषा॥ कहि न सकत कछु अति गंभीरा। प्रभु प्रभाउ जानत मतिधीरा॥ १ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

lachimana dīkha umākṛta beṣā। cakita bhae bhrama hṛdayaṃ biseṣā॥ kahi na sakata kacha ati gaṃbhīrā। prabhu prabhāu jānata matidhīrā॥ 1 ॥

Meaning

Seeing Sati's disguise, Lakshmana was astonished and greatly confused in his heart. He became very grave and could say nothing. Steady-minded Lakshmana knew the power of the Lord.
