करि प्रनामु तिन्ह पाती दीन्ही। मुदित महीप आपु उठि लीन्ही॥ बारि बिलोचन बाँचत पाती। पुलक गात आई भरि छाती॥ २ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
kari pranāmu tinha pātī dīnhī। mudita mahīpa āpu uṭhi līnhī॥ bāri bilocana bāṃcata pātī। pulaka gāta āī bhari chātī॥ 2 ॥
Meaning
The envoys bowed and gave the letter. The delighted king himself rose and took it. As he read the letter, tears filled his eyes, his body thrilled, and his chest swelled with emotion.
