कंकन किंकिनि नूपुर धुनि सुनि। कहत लखन सन रामु हृदयँ गुनि॥ मानहुँ मदन दुंदुभी दीन्ही। मनसा बिस्व बिजय कहँ कीन्ही॥ १ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

kaṃkana kiṃkini nūpura dhuni suni। kahata lakhana sana rāmu hṛdayaṃ guni॥ mānahuṃ madana dundubhī dīnhī। manasā bisva bijaya kahaṃ kīnhī॥ 1 ॥

Meaning

Hearing the sound of bangles, ornaments, and anklets, Rama reflected in his heart and said to Lakshmana, 'It is as though Cupid has sounded his drum, resolved to conquer the world.'
