समुझि मातु करतब सकुचाहीं। करत कुतरक कोटि मन माहीं॥ रामु लखनु सिय सुनि मम नाऊँ। उठि जनि अनत जाहिं तजि ठाऊँ॥ ४ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
samujhi mātu karataba sakucāhīṁ। karata kutaraka koṭi mana māhīṁ॥ rāmu lakhanu siya suni mama nāũ̃। uṭhi jani anata jāhiṁ taji ṭhāũ̃॥ 4 ॥
Meaning
Remembering his mother Kaikeyi’s actions, Bharata feels shy and entertains countless doubts in his mind: ‘If Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita hear my name, may they not rise and leave this place for somewhere else.’
