पलँग पीठ तजि गोद हिंडोरा। सियँ न दीन्ह पगु अवनि कठोरा॥ जिअनमूरि जिमि जोगवत रहऊँ। दीप बाति नहिं टारन कहऊँ॥ ३ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

palaṅga pīṭha taji goda hiṃḍorā। siyaṃ na dīnha pagu avani kaṭhorā॥ jiyanamūri jimi jogavata rahauṃ। dīpa bāti nahiṃ ṭārana kahauṃ॥ 3 ॥

Meaning

Sita has never set foot on the hard earth, having left the bed, the lap, and the swing. I have always guarded her carefully, like a life-giving herb. I never even ask that the lamp wick be removed.
