मातु बचन सुनि अति अनुकूला। जनु सनेह सुरतरु के फूला॥ सुख मकरंद भरे श्रियमूला। निरखि राम मनु भवँरु न भूला॥ २ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
mātu bacana suni ati anukūlā। janu saneha surataru ke phūlā॥ sukha makaraṃda bhare śriyamūlā। nirakhi rāma manu bhavaṃru na bhūlā॥ 2 ॥
Meaning
Hearing the mother's most affectionate words—words that were like flowers of the wish-fulfilling tree of love, filled with the nectar of happiness, and rooted in Sri (prosperity)—Rama's mind, like a bee, did not wander away from them.
