धरम धुरीन धरम गति जानी। कहेउ मातु सन अति मृदु बानी॥ पिताँ दीन्ह मोहि कानन राजू। जहँ सब भाँति मोर बड़ काजू॥ ३ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
dharama dhurīna dharama gati jānī। kheu mātu sana ati mṛdu bānī॥ pitāṃ dīnha mohi kānana rājū। jahaṃ saba bhāṃti mora baḍa kājū॥ 3 ॥
Meaning
Rama, the foremost in dharma and knowing the path of dharma, spoke to his mother in very gentle words: 'Mother, my father has given me the kingdom of the forest, where in every way my task is to be fulfilled.'
