कहउँ जान बन तौ बड़ि हानी। संकट सोच बिबस भइ रानी॥ बहुरि समुझि तिय धरमु सयानी। रामु भरतु दोउ सुत सम जानी॥ ३ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
kahauṃ jāna bana tau baḍi hānī। saṃkata soca bibasa bhai rānī॥ bahuri samujhi tiya dharamu sayānī। rāmu bharatu dou suta sama jānī॥ 3 ॥
Meaning
And if I tell him to go to the forest, it will cause great loss. Falling into such a crisis of dharma, the queen became overpowered by thought. Then wise Kausalya, understanding a woman's dharma and regarding Rama and Bharata as equally her sons—
