आयसु देहि मुदित मन माता। जेहिं मुद मंगल कानन जाता॥ जनि सनेह बस डरपसि भोरें। आनँदु अंब अनुग्रह तोरें॥ ४ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
āyasu dehi mudita mana mātā। jehiṃ muda maṅgala kānana jātā॥ jani saneha basa ḍarapasi bhoreṃ। ānaṃdu aṃba anugraha toreṃ॥ 4 ॥
Meaning
Mother, grant me your permission with a glad heart, so that my journey to the forest may be filled with joy and auspiciousness. Out of affection, do not let yourself be afraid even for a moment. Mother, by your grace there will be only happiness.
Context
This is Chaupai 4, Under Doha 53 from Ayodhya Kand, in the episode “Ram Tells Kaushalya of His Exile”. The episode describes Rama's gentle words informing Kaushalya of exile and her grief-stricken yet noble acceptance.
