दारुन दुसह दाहु उर ब्यापा। बरनि न जाहिं बिलाप कलापा॥ राम उठाइ मातु उर लाई। कहि मृदु बचन बहुरि समुझाई॥ ४ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
dāruna dusaha dāhu ura byāpā। barani na jāhiṃ bilāpa kalāpā॥ rāma uṭhāi mātu ura lāī। kahi mṛdu bacana bahuri samujhāī॥ 4 ॥
Meaning
A terrible, unbearable anguish filled the heart. The many kinds of lamentation at that time cannot be described. Rama lifted his mother into his embrace and, speaking gentle words, consoled her.
