ताते उमा न मैं समुझावा। रघुपति कृपाँ मरमु मैं पावा॥ होइहि कीन्ह कबहुँ अभिमाना। सो खोवै चह कृपानिधाना॥ ४ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

tāte umā na maiṃ samujhāvā। raghupati kṛpāṃ maramu maiṃ pāvā॥ hoihi kīṃha kabahuṃ abhimānā। so khovai caha kṛpānidhānā॥ 4 ॥

Meaning

O Uma, I did not explain it to him because, by Rama’s grace, I had understood his inner secret. He must have once become proud, and the treasure of compassion, Rama, wishes to destroy that pride.
