नर सहस्र महँ सुनहु पुरारी। कोउ एक होइ धर्म ब्रतधारी॥ धर्मसील कोटिक महँ कोई। बिषय बिमुख बिराग रत होई॥ १ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

nara sahasra mahaṃ sunahu purārī। kou eka hoi dharma bratadhārī॥ dharmasīla koṭika mahaṃ koī। biṣaya bimukha birāga rata hoī॥ 1 ॥

Meaning

O Tripurari, listen: among thousands of men, only one may be a follower of dharma and vows. And among millions of righteous people, only one turns away from worldly objects and is devoted to detachment.
