नाना भाँति मनहि समुझावा। प्रगट न ग्यान हृदयँ भ्रम छावा॥ खेद खिन्न मन तर्क बढ़ाई। भयउ मोहबस तुम्हरिहिं नाई॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
nānā bhāṃti manahi samujhāvā। pragaṭa na gyāna hṛdayaṃ bhrama chāvā॥ kheda khinna mana tarka baṛhāī। bhayau mohabasa tumharihiṃ nāī॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
Garuda tried in many ways to persuade his mind. Yet knowledge did not arise; confusion spread more and more in his heart. Weighed down by sorrow born of doubt, and strengthening his own reasoning, he too became deluded like you.
