जिन्हहि सोक ते कहउँ बखानी। प्रथम अबिद्या निसा नसानी॥ अघ उलूक जहँ तहाँ लुकाने। काम क्रोध कैरव सकुचाने॥ २ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

jinhahi soka te kahauṃ bakhānī। prathama abidyā nisā nasānī॥ agha ulūka jahaṃ tahāṃ lukāne। kāma krodha kairava sakucāne॥ 2 ॥

Meaning

I shall tell who were made sorrowful. First, the night of ignorance was destroyed. The owls of sin hid themselves everywhere, and the water-lilies of desire and anger withered and closed.
