jaũ saba keṃ raha gyāna ekarasa। īsvara jīvahi bheda kahahu kasa॥ māyā basya jīva abhimānī। īsa basya māyā guna khānī॥ 3 ॥
Meaning
If beings were to remain in one undivided consciousness, then tell me, what distinction would there be between God and the soul? The proud soul is under maya’s control, and maya, the source of the three qualities—sattva, rajas, and tamas—is under God’s control.
