हरइ सिष्य धन सोक न हरई। सो गुर घोर नरक महुँ परई॥ मातु पिता बालकन्हि बोलावहिं। उदर भरै सोइ धर्म सिखावहिं॥ ४ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
harai sīṣya dhana soka na harī। so gura ghora naraka mahuṃ paraī॥ mātu pitā bālakanhi bolāvahiṃ। udara bharai soi dharma sikhāvahiṃ॥ 4 ॥
Meaning
A guru who takes away a disciple's wealth but does not remove sorrow falls into terrible hell. Parents call their children and teach them only that religion which fills the belly.
