गुर बिनु भव निधि तरइ न कोई। जौं बिरंचि संकर सम होई॥ संसय सर्प ग्रसेउ मोहि ताता। दुखद लहरि कुतर्क बहु ब्राता॥ ३ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
gura binu bhava nidhi tarai na koī। jaṃ biranci śaṃkara sama hoī॥ saṃsaya sarpa graseu mohi tātā। dukhada lahari kutarka bahu bhrātā॥ 3 ॥
Meaning
Without a guru, no one can cross the ocean of worldly existence, even if one were equal to Brahma or Shankara. Garuda said: 'O father, the serpent of doubt had swallowed me, and many waves of painful false reasoning were rising within me.'
