जोइ जोइ सगुन जानकिहि होई। असगुन भयउ रावनहि सोई॥ चला कटकु को बरनैं पारा। गर्जहिं बानर भालु अपारा॥ ४ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
joi joi saguna jānakihi hoī। asaguna bhayau rāvanahi soī॥ calā kaṭaku ko baranaiṃ pārā। garjahiṃ bānara bhālu apārā॥ 4 ॥
Meaning
Whatever omens were favorable for Janaki became omens of ill fortune for Ravana. The army marched forth—who can describe it? Countless monkeys and bears were roaring.
