सठ साखामृग जोरि सहाई। बाँधा सिंधु इहइ प्रभुताई॥ नाघहिं खग अनेक बारीसा। सूर न होहिं ते सुनु सब कीसा॥ १ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

saṭha sākhāmṛga jori sahāī। bāndhā sindhu ihai prabhutāī॥ nāghahiṃ khaga aneka bārīsā। sūra na hohiṃ te sunu saba kīsā॥ 1 ॥

Meaning

You villain, Rama merely joined forces with monkeys and bound the sea; that is all his greatness is. Many birds can cross the sea as well, but that does not make them heroes. Listen, you foolish monkeys!
