रन मद मत्त निसाचर दर्पा। बिस्व ग्रसिहि जनु एहि बिधि अर्पा॥ मुरे सुभट सब फिरहिं न फेरे। सूझ न नयन सुनहिं नहिं टेरे॥ ३ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
rana mada matta nisācara darpā। biswa grasihi janu ehi bidhi arpā॥ mure subhaṭa saba phirahiṃ na phere। sūjha na nayana sunahĩ nahiṃ ṭere॥ 3 ॥
Meaning
Intoxicated with battle pride, the demon Kumbhakarna became so haughty as if the Creator had given him the whole world to devour. All the warriors fled; they would not even turn back when called. They could not see with their eyes, and they did not hear when summoned.
