निसिहि ससिहि निंदति बहु भाँती। जुग सम भई सिराति न राती॥ करति बिलाप मनहिं मन भारी। राम बिरहँ जानकी दुखारी॥ २ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

nisihi sasihi niṃdati bahu bhāṃtī। juga sama bhaī sirāti na rātī॥ karati bilāpa manahiṃ mana bhārī। rāma birahaṃ jānakī dukhārī॥ 2 ॥

Meaning

She kept cursing the night and the moon in many ways, saying, 'The night has become like a yuga; it does not pass.' Sita, grieving in separation from Rama, was lamenting heavily within her heart.
