निसिचर अनी देखि कपि फिरे। जहँ तहँ कटकटाइ भट भिरे॥ द्वौ दल प्रबल पचारि पचारी। लरत सुभट नहिं मानहिं हारी॥ ३ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

nisichara anī dekhi kapi phire। jahaṃ tahaṃ kaṭakaṭāi bhaṭa bhire॥ dvau dala prabala pacāri pacārī। larata subhaṭa nahiṃ mānahiṃ hārī॥ 3 ॥

Meaning

Seeing the army of demons advance, the monkeys turned back, and the warriors clashed here and there with gritted teeth. Both armies are mighty. The heroes fight, challenging one another again and again, and none admits defeat.
