कुंभकरन मन दीख बिचारी। हति छन माझ निसाचर धारी॥ भा अति क्रुद्ध महाबल बीरा। कियो मृगनायक नाद गँभीरा॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
kuṃbhakarana mana dīkha bicārī। hati chana mājha nisācara dhārī॥ bhā ati kruddha mahābala bīrā। kiyo mṛganāyaka nāda gaṃbhīrā॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
Kumbhakarna reflected and saw that Rama had destroyed the demon forces in a moment. Then that mighty hero became exceedingly furious and uttered a deep lion-roar.
