जरत बिलोकेउँ जबहिं कपाला। बिधि के लिखे अंक निज भाला॥ नर कें कर आपन बध बाँची। हसेउँ जानि बिधि गिरा असाँची॥ १ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

jarata bilokeuṃ jabahiṃ kapālā। bidhi ke likhe aṅka nija bhālā॥ nara keṃ kara āpana badha bāṃcī। haseuṃ jāni bidhi girā asāṃcī॥ 1 ॥

Meaning

When I saw the burning heads and the marks written by Fate upon my own forehead, I escaped death at the hands of a man, and I laughed, knowing the words of Fate to be false.
