घायल बीर बिराजहिं कैसे। कुसुमित किंसुक के तरु जैसे॥ लछिमन मेघनाद द्वौ जोधा। भिरहिं परसपर करि अति क्रोधा॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
ghāyala bīra birājahiṃ kaise। kusumita kiṃsuka ke taru jaise॥ lachimana meghanāda dvau yodhā। bhirahiṃ paraspara kari ati krodhā॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
How splendid the wounded warriors look, like blossoming kinśuk trees. Lakshman and Meghnad, both warriors, clash with one another in great fury.
