देवन्ह प्रभुहि पयादें देखा। उपजा उर अति छोभ बिसेषा॥ सुरपति निज रथ तुरत पठावा। हरष सहित मातलि लै आवा॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
devanha prabhui payādeṃ dekhā। upajā ura ati chobha biseshā॥ surapati nija ratha turata paṭhāvā। haraṣa sahita mātali lai āvā॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
When the gods saw the Lord fighting on foot, great grief arose in their hearts. Then Indra immediately sent his chariot, and the charioteer Matali brought it joyfully.
