तेज पुंज रथ दिब्य अनूपा। हरषि चढ़े कोसलपुर भूपा॥ चंचल तुरग मनोहर चारी। अजर अमर मन सम गतिकारी॥ २ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
teja puṃja ratha dibya anūpā। haraṣi caṛhe kosalapura bhūpā॥ caṃcala turaga manohara cārī। ajara amara mana sama gatikārī॥ 2 ॥
Meaning
Rama, the king of Kosala, joyfully mounted that divine, incomparable chariot, a blazing mass of radiance. Four lively, beautiful horses, ageless and deathless, swift as the mind, were harnessed to it.
