असुभ होन लागे तब नाना। रोवहिं खर सृकाल बहु स्वाना॥ बोलहिं खग जग आरति हेतू। प्रगट भए नभ जहँ तहँ केतू॥ ४ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

asubha hona lāge taba nānā। rovahiṃ khara sṛkāla bahu svānā॥ bolahiṃ khaga jaga ārati hetū। pragaṭa bhae nabha jahaṃ tahaṃ ketū॥ 4 ॥

Meaning

At that time, all kinds of evil omens began to appear. Many donkeys, jackals, and dogs began to howl. Birds began to cry out to foretell the world's distress. Comets appeared everywhere in the sky.
