चातक रटत तृषा अति ओही। जिमि सुख लहइ न संकरद्रोही॥ सरदातप निसि ससि अपहरई। संत दरस जिमि पातक टरई॥ ३ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
cātaka raṭata tṛṣā ati ohī। jimi sukha laha'i na saṃkaradrohī॥ saradātapa nisi sasi apaharai। santa darasa jimi pātaka ṭarai॥ 3 ॥
Meaning
The chatak bird keeps calling in great thirst for that alone, just as one who is hostile to Shankar finds no happiness. The moon removes the heat of an autumn night, just as the sight of saints removes sins.
