सुनि सरोष भृगुनायकु आए। बहुत भाँति तिन्ह आँखि देखाए॥ देखि राम बलु निज धनु दीन्हा। करि बहु बिनय गवनु बन कीन्हा॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
suni saroṣa bhṛgunāyaku āe। bahuta bhāṃti tinha āṃkhi dekhāe॥ dekhi rāma balu nija dhanu dīnhā। kari bahu binaya gavanu bana kīnhā॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
Hearing of the breaking of the bow, Parashurama came in anger and showed his eyes in many ways. Seeing Rama's strength, he gave up his own bow and, after much supplication, went away to the forest.
