सभा समेत राउ अनुरागे। दूतन्ह देन निछावरि लागे॥ कहि अनीति ते मूदहिं काना। धरमु बिचारि सबहिं सुखु माना॥ ४ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

sabhā sameta rāu anurāge। dūtanha dena nichāvari lāge॥ kahi anīti te mūdahiṃ kānā। dharamu bicāri sabahiṃ sukhu mānā॥ 4 ॥

Meaning

The king, along with the assembly, was filled with affection and began offering gifts to the envoys. When they said it was improper, the envoys covered their ears with their hands. Considering dharma, everyone felt pleased.
