राम धामदा पुरी सुहावनि। लोक समस्त बिदित अति पावनि॥ चारि खानि जग जीव अपारा। अवध तजें तनु नहिं संसारा॥ २ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
rāma dhāmadā purī suhāvani। loka samasta bidita ati pāvani॥ cāri khāni jaga jīva apārā। avadha tajeṃ tanu nahiṃ sansaara॥ 2 ॥
Meaning
This lovely city of Ayodhya is the giver of Rama's supreme abode; it is renowned throughout the world and is exceedingly sacred. In the world there are countless living beings of the four classes [egg-born, sweat-born, sprout-born, and womb-born]; whoever leaves the body in Ayodhya does not return to the world again, but dwells in the Lord's supreme abode.
