राम चरित अति अमित मुनीसा। कहि न सकहिं सत कोटि अहीसा॥ तदपि जथाश्रुत कहउँ बखानी। सुमिरि गिरापति प्रभु धनुपानी॥ २ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

rāma carita ati amita munīsā। kahi na sakahiṃ sata koṭi ahīsā॥ tadapi jathāśruta kahauṃ bakhānī। sumiri girāpati prabhu dhanupānī॥ 2 ॥

Meaning

O great sage, Rama’s story is immeasurably vast. Even ten million Sheshas could not fully recount it. Still, as I have heard it, I will relate it, remembering the Lord Rama, the Master of speech and the One who holds the bow.
