रहे असुर छल छोनिप बेषा। तिन्ह प्रभु प्रगट काल सम देखा॥ पुरबासिन्ह देखे दोउ भाई। नरभूषन लोचन सुखदाई॥ ४ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
rahe asura chala chonipa beṣā। tinha prabhu pragaṭa kāla sama dekhā॥ purabāsinha dekhe dou bhāī। narabhūṣana locana sukhadāī॥ 4 ॥
Meaning
The demons, who were there in kings' disguises through deceit, saw the Lord as death itself made manifest. The people of the city saw the two brothers as the ornament of humankind and the delight of the eyes.
Context
This is Chaupai 4, Under Doha 241 from Bal Kand, in the episode “Vishvamitra Enters the Assembly”. The episode describes Vishvamitra entering the great assembly with Rama and Lakshmana, each beholder seeing the princes according to their own devotion.
