देखहिं रूप महा रनधीरा। मनहुँ बीर रसु धरें सरीरा॥ डरे कुटिल नृप प्रभुहि निहारी। मनहुँ भयानक मूरति भारी॥ ३ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
dekhahiṃ rūpa mahā ranadhīrā। manahuṃ bīra rasa dhareṃ sarīrā॥ ḍare kuṭila nṛpa prabhuhi nihārī। manahuṃ bhayānaka mūrati bhārī॥ 3 ॥
Meaning
The great warriors gazed upon the Lord's form as though the body itself were made of heroic sentiment (vīra rasa). The crooked kings were frightened at the sight of the Lord, as if they had beheld a dreadful form of death.
Context
This is Chaupai 3, Under Doha 241 from Bal Kand, in the episode “Vishvamitra Enters the Assembly”. The episode describes Vishvamitra entering the great assembly with Rama and Lakshmana, each beholder seeing the princes according to their own devotion.
