पुर जन आवत अकनि बराता। मुदित सकल पुलकावलि गाता॥ निज निज सुंदर सदन सँवारे। हाट बाट चौहट पुर द्वारे॥ २ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
pura jana āvata akani barātā। mudita sakala pulakāvali gātā॥ nija nija sundara sadana saṃvāre। hāṭa bāṭa cauhaṭa pura dvāre॥ 2 ॥
Meaning
Hearing that the wedding party was coming, the townspeople rejoiced; goosebumps of delight rose on everyone’s body. They decorated their own beautiful homes, markets, lanes, crossroads, and city gates.
