Meaning

They began to wash the lotus feet, and love made every hair on their bodies stand on end. In the sky and in the city, songs, drums, and cries of victory surged forth as if spreading in all directions. Those lotus feet forever abide in the heart-lake of Lord Shiva, the enemy of Kama; by remembering them, the mind becomes pure and all the stains of Kali Yuga depart.
