कर जोरि जनकु बहोरि बंधु समेत कोसलराय सों। बोले मनोहर बयन सानि सनेह सील सुभाय सों॥ संबंध राजन रावरें हम बड़े अब सब बिधि भए। एहि राज साज समेत सेवक जानिबे बिनु गथ लए॥ २ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
kara jori janaku bahori baṃdhu sameta kosalarāya soṃ। bole manohara bayana sāni saneha sīla subhāya soṃ॥ saṃbaṃdha rājana rāvareṃ hama baḍe aba saba bidhi bhae। ehi rāja sāja sameta sevaka jānibe binu gatha lae॥ 2 ॥
Meaning
Then Janakji, with his brothers, folded his hands before the lord of Kosala, Dasharatha, and spoke delightful words steeped in affection, modesty, and graciousness: 'O King, by our bond with you we have become great in every way. Regard us, along with this royal dignity, as your servants taken without price.'
