सनमानि सकल बरात आदर दान बिनय बड़ाइ कै। प्रमुदित महा मुनि बृंद बंदे पूजि प्रेम लड़ाइ कै॥ सिरु नाइ देव मनाइ सब सन कहत कर संपुट किएँ। सुर साधु चाहत भाउ सिंधु कि तोष जल अंजलि दिएँ॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
sanamāni sakala barāta ādara dāna binaya baḍāi kai। pramudita mahā muni bṛnda bande pūji prema laḍāi kai॥ siru nāi deva manāi saba sana kahata kara saṃpuṭa kieṃ। sura sādhu cāhata bhāu sindhu ki toṣa jala añjali dieṃ॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
By honor, gifts, humility, and praise, King Janak honored the whole wedding party. Filled with great delight, he lovingly showed affection to the assembly of sages and worshiped them. Bowing his head and pleasing the gods, he spoke with folded hands to all, saying that gods and saints desire only devotion; how can the ocean be satisfied by a single handful of water?
