जौं पै कृपाँ जरिहिं मुनि गाता। क्रोध भएँ तनु राख बिधाता॥ देखु जनक हठि बालकु एहू। कीन्ह चहत जड़ जमपुर गेहू॥ ३ ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

jauṃ pai kṛpāṃ jarihiṃ muni gātā। krodha bhaeṃ tanu rākh bidhātā॥ dekhu janaka haṭhi bālaku ehū। kīnh cahata jaḍa jamapura gehū॥ 3 ॥

Meaning

O sage, if by showing mercy your body is burned, then when anger rises, only fate can protect the body. [Then Parashurama said:] O Janak, see, this foolish boy insists on making his home in Yama's city.
