बेगि करहु किन आँखिन्ह ओटा। देखत छोट खोट नृपु ढोटा॥ बिहसे लखनु कहा मन माहीं। मूदें आँखि कतहुँ कोउ नाहीं॥ ४ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
begi karahu kina āṃkhinha oṭā। dekhata choṭa khoṭa nṛpu ḍhoṭā॥ bihase lakhanu kahā mana māhīṃ। mūdeṃ āṃkhi katahuṃ kou nāhīṃ॥ 4 ॥
Meaning
Why not quickly hide him from sight? This prince may look small, but he is quite wicked. Lakshmana smiled and thought to himself: once the eyes are shut, there is no one anywhere.
