जसि बिबाह कै बिधि श्रुति गाई। महामुनिन्ह सो सब करवाई॥ गहि गिरीस कुस कन्या पानी। भवहि समरपीं जानि भवानी॥ १ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
jasi bibāha kai bidhi śruti gāī। mahāmuninha so saba karvāī॥ gahi girīsa kusa kanyā pānī। bhavahi samarpīṃ jāni bhavānī॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
Whatever rites the Vedas prescribe for a wedding, the great sages had all of them performed. Holding kusa grass and taking the maiden’s hand, Himavan, the king of mountains, offered her to Shiva, recognizing her as Bhavani.
