जानकी लघु भगिनी सकल सुंदरि सिरोमनि जानि कै। सो तनय दीन्ही ब्याहि लखनहि सकल बिधि सनमानि कै॥ जेहि नामु श्रुतकीरति सुलोचनि सुमुखि सब गुन आगरी। सो दई रिपुसूदनहि भूपति रूप सील उजागरी॥ ३ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
jānakī laghu bhaginī sakala suṃdari siromani jāni kai। so tanaya dīnhī byāhi lakhanahi sakala bidhi sanamāni kai॥ jehi nāmu śrutakīrati sulocani sumukhi saba guna āgarī। so daī ripusūdanahi bhūpati rūpa sīla ujāgarī॥ 3 ॥
Meaning
Knowing Janaki’s younger sister Urmila to be the crest jewel among all beautiful women, he honored that daughter in every way and gave her in marriage to Lakshmana. And the one named Shrutakirti, lovely-eyed, fair-faced, the treasure of all virtues, and illustrious in form and character, was given by the king to Shatrughna.
