धूमउ तजइ सहज करुआई। अगरु प्रसंग सुगंध बसाई॥ भनिति भदेस बस्तु भलि बरनी। राम कथा जग मंगल करनी॥ ५ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
dhūmau tajai sahaja karuāī। agaru prasaṃga sugaṃdha basāī॥ bhaniti bhadesa bastu bhali baranī। rāma kathā jaga maṃgala karanī॥ 5 ॥
Meaning
Even smoke, by association with frankincense, gives up its natural bitterness and becomes fragrant. My composition is indeed rough, yet in it is described the excellent subject of the Ram-katha, which brings welfare to the world; thus it too should be regarded as good.
