धरि धीरजु तहँ रहे सयाने। बालक सब लै जीव पराने॥ गएँ भवन पूछहिं पितु माता। कहहिं बचन भय कंपित गाता॥ ३ ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
dhari dhīraju tahaṃ rahe sayāne। bālaka saba lai jīva parāne॥ gaeṃ bhavana pūchahiṃ pitu mātā। kahahiṃ bacana bhaya kampita gātā॥ 3 ॥
Meaning
Some of the older and wiser ones stayed there with patience. All the boys ran away taking their lives with them. When they returned home and their fathers and mothers asked them, they spoke words while their bodies trembled with fear.
